She was born October 10, 1934 in Pinson, TN the daughter of the late Jesse and Exie Murdaugh. Bettye was a star basketball player for Pinson High School, class of 1952. She was a long time reporter for the Jackson Sun and Editor of the Jackson Journal.
She is survived by one daughter, two sons, a brother, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
SERVICES: Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson will held 10 a.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 at Arrington Funeral Directors, with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
