Screenwriter. Best known for developing the 1966 "Batman" television series. His contributions to the program include the sound effects graphics that appeared on screen during fight sequences (e.g., "POW"). In addition to writing the program's first four episodes, he wrote the screenplay for the 1966 "Batman" film. His other screenplay credits included the films "Pretty Poison", the 1976 "King Kong" remake, "Flash Gordon", and the James Bond film "Never Say Never Again". In his later years, he and former producer Marica Nasatir reviewed movies on YouTube under the moniker "Reel Geezers".
