Glenn Julian Chaplin Sr., 82, of Ravenel, South Carolina, husband of Betty Jean Driggers Chaplin, died Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Mr. Chaplin was born May 31, 1932 in Ravenel, South Carolina, son of the late Julian R. "Sam" Chaplin and Julia Ann Postell Chaplin.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired employee with the Charleston Naval Weapon Station.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Chaplin of Ravenel; sons, Glenn Julian (Debra) Chaplin Jr. and Bob Randall (Celeste) Chaplin all of Ravenel; daughters, Eileen (Mike) Miller of Ravenel and Alicia Price of Anniston, AL; eight loving grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard "Ricky" Allen Chaplin, and a granddaughter, Glenda Chaplin.

Funeral services will were Wednesday, June 25, 2014, in Sauldam Baptist Church, 5945 County Line Road. Burial, directed by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, followed in the church cemetery.
