Peter O Bloom, passed away on June 21, 2014 in Prescott Valley, AZ. He was born February 18, 1944 in New York City, NY.

Peter is survived by his wife Suzanne Renaud; children Laura L. Bloom of Denver, CO, Christina Bloom Bueme of Tallahasee, FL, and Roy Frank Furst of Panama City, FL; brothers Lt. Commander Alan Tupman of FL, James Tupman of KS, Michael Tupman of NC, and David Tupman of NC; sisters Patricia Tupman of NC, Carol Belcher of NC, Maureen Tupman of NC, Debra Tupman Frommer of NC, and Wendy Tupman Willis of NC; and one grandchild.

Peter was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Paralyzed Veterans of America, and Disabled Veterans of America. He enjoyed his job as a Movie Theater Manager, Professional Projectionist and, of course, watching movies. Peter was proudest of his children and his United States Air Force Service of nine years, one month and 23 days.

Service: 11:00 am on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at All Saints Anglican Church 1806 Savage Lane North Prescott AZ 86301 will be the memorial service for Peter.

Cemetery: Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 pm will be the final commendation at the Prescott National Cemetery S Overland Rd at Quiet Peace Lane Prescott AZ 86313.

Peter Bloom, 70, died at his home in Prescott Valley, Ariz., on June 21, 2014, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. He was born on Feb. 18, 1944, in Manhattan, N.Y. He moved to Prescott Valley in December 1984.

Peter joined the Air Force in 1961, completing his basic training at Lackland AFB, Texas. He was then deployed to Clark AFB, Philippines, where he served as an air patrolman and sentry dog handler. Peter continued to serve as an air patrolman at Tyndall AFB, Florida, McGuire AFB, New Jersey and Craig AFB, Alabama.

He was later deployed to Ubon AFB, Thailand, as an audio-visual specialist, participating in air-photo intelligence missions over Cambodia and Vietnam. After leaving the Air Force in 1969, Peter went on to complete a successful career in hospital administration at the Bronx, N.Y., McAllen, Texas, and Prescott, Ariz., VA medical centers. Retiring in 2010, Peter served his country for over 40 years.

Peter was known for his warm heart, generous spirit, and quirky sense of humor. He enjoyed a life-long hobby of collecting movies and learning about all things audio-visual. Peter was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Paralyzed Veterans of America and Disabled Veterans of America. Of his many accomplishments in life, Peter was proudest of his children and his United States Air Force service of nine years, one month and 23 days.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 26, 2014, at All Saints Anglican Church, 1806 Savage Lane N., Prescott, followed by the inurnment with military honors at 1 p.m. on the same day at Prescott National Cemetery, 500 Highway 89, Prescott.
