Bill D. Blauvelt, 72, passed away Monday, July 10, 2006, at his home. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 14, at First Baptist Church of Raytown, with services immediately following. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Bill was a professional engineer and had worked for Imco Container, Armco Steel, Bendix, Sheller Globe, and the city of Kansas City before retiring. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church of Raytown. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Gloria Blauvelt; daughter and son-in-law, Quiquette and Howard Beitling and grandchildren Jeff Beitling and Dottie, Greg Beitling and Suzy, and Becky Beitling. Also left behind are Mirrel Blauvelt, Bonner Springs, Kansas, Roy Blauvelt, Holton, Kansas, Charles Blauvelt and wife Eula, Harwood, Mo., Dorothy Chenoweth and Loren, Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Johnnie Blauvelt, Stockton, Mo., and numerous nieces and nephews.
