Mrs. Charles Kirchen Jr., 57, died Monday, November 21 following a lingering illness at the farm home on Rt. 5?, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Rev. Orville Janssen wil officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Kirchen, nee Martha Tetzlaff, was born at Milwaukee (Reedsville ?) on Jan. 11, 1898, daughter of the late Charles Tetzlaff & Bertha Baumgart-Tetzlaff. Both of her parents immigrated from the Kingdom of Prussia, settling in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
She came to Manitowoc as a young girl and was married Feb. 11, 1920, to Charles Kirchen Jr.
The couple had resided at its present address the past 17 years.
She is survived by the husband, a daughter, Mrs. Burton Gordon of Manitowoc; a son, Vernon Kirchen of Two Rivers; a brother, William Tetzlaff of Niagara Falls, N. Y.: and five grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8:15 o'clock this Tuesday evening.
