Hannah Hammer- York- McIntyre was the daughter of Elisha Hammer and Elizabeth Rains. She married John York Jr. on jan1 1801 in Randolph County, North Carolina -- they moved to Butler co Ohio and then west with the Morman movement to Caldwell co., Mo. where John was killed in a massacre at Hauns Mill on 10-31-1838. Hannah survived taking her 2 youngest children and fleeing to illinois with other Morman survivors. She re-married 4-11-1842 in Pike county, Illinois to Jacob McIntyre. In 1860 we find Hannah in Miami County, Ind in the home of her son John York Jr. she is listed as 77- mother- widow. I have not been able to find her after this census. Assuming she was buried in Miami county but have not found a record/ place of death or burial.
