Hiram Janes Bullock, a son of Levi and Deborah (Andrews) Bullock, was born in Genesee County [the 1879 History of Rock County, Wisconsin, says Wyoming County, which is the county just south of Genesee County], New York, on 22 July 1837 [his death certificate (Rock County, Wisconsin, Deaths, Vol. 9, No. 1013 1/2) says 20 July 1837].

On 11 May 1841, at the age of 3 years, he came to Rock County, Wisconsin, with his parents.

In about 1860, he moved to Minnesota.

On 17 November 1861, when he was 24 years old, Hiram Janes Bullock married Lucinda Hall. Lucinda Hall was the daughter of Frances (Fanny) Lewis and Maxon Hall. After Maxon's death, Fanny Lewis Hall married Levi Bullock who was Hiram Janes Bullock's father. Fanny's sister, Palmyra Lewis, was the second wife of Elisha Williams Bartlett who was the father of Hiram Janes Bullock's second wife, Louisa Bartlett.

Ernest Bullock, the first child of Hiram and Lucinda (Hall) Bullock was born in Eyota, Olmsted County, Minnesota, on 20 May 1862.

In 1869, Hiram Janes Bullock returned to Rock County, Wisconsin. He lived on Section 32 of Lima Township, on top of the hill on the east side of the Big Pond. He built a creamery at the roadside so that farmers could drive to it, get their milk weighed and load up again with whey, when cheese was made. He also built a large frame house farther back from the road and added a store at the back on to it to accommodate his patrons.

In the 1870 census, Hiram Bullock, 33 and born in New York, his wife Lucinda [Hall], 31 and born in Ohio, and son Ernest, 8, are shown as living in Lima Township, Rock County, Wisconsin. Hiram was a farmer with real property worth $6,300 and personal property worth $9,000.

Lucinda Hall Bullock died on 26 February 1872. On 23 February 1874, Hiram married his second wife, Louisa Bartlett.

The 1879 History of Rock County, Wisconsin, reads, under Lima Township:

H. J. BULLOCK, farmer, Section 32; P.O. Lima Center; born in town of Attica, Wyoming County [sic; probably Genesee County], New York, July 22 [sic], 1837; son of Levi and Deborah Bullock; came to Wisconsin with his parents May, 1841, locating in Lima, where Hiram Bullock lived till 1860, when he went to Minnesota, where he lived nine years; settled on his farm of 150 acres in 1869. Married Miss Lucinda Hall, November 17, 1861, who died February 26, 1872, leaving one son -- Ernest E. [Bullock]. Mr. Bullock married Miss Louisa Bartlett [James Spellman Bartlett's older sister] in February 1874; they have two daughters, Laura B. and a babe [Nina "Mae"]. He is a Republican in politics, and the family attend the Baptist Church.

In the 1880 census, Hiram Bullock, 42, his second wife Louisa [Bartlett], 30, and daughters Laura, 3, and a babe [Nina "Mae"], 1, are shown as living in Lima Township, Rock County, Wisconsin. Hiram is a farmer. His father is listed as born in New Hampshire, but that is apparently incorrect because Levi Bullock was born in Massachusetts. Hiram's father, Levi Bullock, 80, and stepmother "Anna" [Fanny?], 70, also lived with the Hiram and Louisa Bullock family in 1880.

On 23 September 1881, Hiram's daughter (by his second wife Louisa Bartlett) Laura B. Bullock died. Louisa Bartlett Bullock died on 28 January 1885.

On 27 June 1888, Hiram Bullock married Mrs. Eliza Ann Bingham [Bacon] in an impromptu ceremony in Milton, Rock County, WI. The witnesses were the bride's father, Lucius Bingham, and George Calkins (who married Myrtle Bullock). [Rock County, Wisconsin, Marriages, Vol. 10 (1886-91), page 171, No. 262] Eliza Ann Bingham Bacon Bullock died on 30 November 1889, after only about 17 months of marriage to Hiram Janes Bullock.

Hiram Janes Bullock died on 24 March 1909 of cancer of the stomach.
