He was an Eagle Scout and was a member and former Deacon at Walnut Street Church of Christ.
He was married on July 5, 1964 in Humphreys County to Dorothy Tracy.
He was retired from AT&T with 25 years of service, and was a resident of Dickson, Tennessee and 70 years old when he passed away on June 29, 2014 at Saint Thomas West.
Survivors include his wife; two married sons; a married sister; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held at Walnut Street Church of Christ, and burial was in Richlawn Cemetery in Waverly.
