Mrs. A.G. Baker
A prominent member of St. George's Anglican Church, Mrs. Arthur G. Baker died yesterday morning after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Baker was a former organist an choir director of St. George;s Church and was president of the Women's Auxiliary as well as being an active and devoted worker in other church organizations.
She was also a member of the board of directors of the Blind Association of Ottawa and was a member and past patron of the Crescent Chapter of the Eastern Star. For 20 years she had been member of the Chruch of the Ascension.
The former Maude E. Sadler, she was born at Brighton, Sussex, England. In 1910 she came to Canada and Married Arthur Baker.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four sons, Grant Laurie, Doug and Frank, all of Ottawa; nine grandchildren; a brother and three sisters in England.
The body is resting at Hulse and Playfair, Limited, 315 McLeod Street where the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday at 3 p.m. Rev. Clayton Vaughan of St. George's Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.
An Eastern Star service will be held at Hulse and Playfiar this evening at 8 p'clock.
