Kenneth Smith, the son of the late Rosyln A. Thomas and George J. Smith was born in Kingston, Jamaica on January 31, 1942. He went home to be with the Lord in the comfort of his own home.

Kenneth Smith was also known to some friends and family as "Smitty" or "Wackie". He was enlisted in the third Battalion, Jamaica Regiment in 1966. He became a Corporal four years later. In the latter part of his life in the US, he became a tiler by trade. He could make any home smile after he performed his magic!

Some of Kenneth's greatest accomplishments were the lives he touched. He would buy candy and ice cream for kids he didn't even know on his block. He would help anyone that was in need, even people the average person would not think to help. He lived a Christ-like life in the best way he knew how. No matter how anyone put him down, he still loved him or her unconditionally. He believed in the family and tried to show it the best way he could with his love.

Kenneth was a member of the Tribe of Judah worship center in Riverdale,MD. You could always count on him to dance and praise the Lord during praise and worship. He was free when praising and worshiping God. The members adored him because he always knew how to make them laugh and speak a word of life to their hearts.

Our well beloved Kenneth is in the loving arms of God now. He has started his new life with the Lord Jesus Christ. He's telling his story how he made it over. Rejoicing in his love and cherishing his memory are his son Charles Smith Sr.; daughters Ann Smith, Rose Smith and Jody Smith; Daughter-in-law Robin Smith; Grandchildren Charles Smith, Jr. and Olivia Morgan; Ex-wife Elma Smith; Aunt Gertrude Wiles and a host of other relatives and friends.

If Smitty were here, he would say, "You must respect yourself or you can't respect me or others. Father God, if my children and my family don't remember anything else, let them know I love them even though I did not do everything right!".
