Bessie M. Ballew, age 94, of Story, Arkansas, passed away August 9, 2012 at the Montgomery County Nursing Home. She was born November 22, 1917 in Northfork, Arkansas to Bob and Minnie Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Arthur Johnson and one sister Mildred Minton. She is survived by two nieces, Thelma and husband Paul Reed and one nephew James Minton and several great nieces and nephews. Services were held August 11, 2012 at Oak Wood Church with Brother Paul Burke officiating. Burial followed at Oak Wood Cemetery. Pallbearers: Luther Mason, James Minton, Logan Vines, Harold "Chip" Fenner, Johnny Ray Smith, and Mervin Lambert. Services were held under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, Arkansas.
