His parents were divorced and his mother had
custody of Louis.
Arriving in Vietnam Louis was assigned to the
Weapons Platoon with Kilo Company,3rd
Battalion,1st Marine Regiment,1st Marine
Division.Louis died of burns to the entire body
during an engagement against hostile forces,at
Xuan Hoa (1)near Ba Gia,15 kilometers south-
west of Binh Son while participating in
Operation Texas.
Survived by his mother,Olga A Lenkei of
Sewaren,NJ and his father,Louis F Ambrose of
Linden,NJ.
