CHARLES T. SHANKWILER.
Waterloo, Nov. 12.—Charles T. Shankwiler, 75, died at the home of his brother-in-law, William F. Pearson, Detroit, Mich., Thursday. Mr. Shankwiler, a prosperous farmer and one of the oldest members of Rose Hill Grange, was born and always lived in Fayette. Two months ago, accompanied by his wife, he went to Michigan on a visit and while at the home of Mr. Pearson, was taken suddenly ill and died with heart disease.
The body will arrive here Saturday and will be taken directly to the home in the Yost road in Fayette. He leaves, besides his wife, Mrs. Ida K. Pearson Shankwiler, one son, Edward of Davenport, Iowa, and one daughter, Mrs. George Williams, Fayette.
Funeral at 2 o'clock Monday from the home in Fayette, Rev. John Keach Arthur officiating. Burial in Maple Grove cemetery.
