Mrs. Carrie Barnett Johnson, Memphis resident for more than 30 years, died of a heart attack at her residence, 712 Court, at 9:30 O'clock yesterday morning. She was 80.
Mrs. Johnson was a native of Union County, Miss. Prior to living in Memphis, she had lived at Oxford, Miss. She was a member of and active in the Speedway Terrace Methodist Church.
She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Marie Allen of Memphis and Mrs. Gladys Goldsmith of New York City.
Services will be conducted bye the Rev. V. J. DeShazo at 2 O'clock tomorrow afternoon at the National Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stephenson Chapel Cemetery.
