Of Allegan, Mi. formerly of Orland Park, IL, died Wednesday February 1, 2006 at his home. Mr. Anderson was born March 2, 1936 in Waukegan, IL the son of John & Mamie (Wiitala) Anderson.
John graduated from Cornell University in Iowa and received his Master's Degree in Education from Northern Illinois. John taught school for 13 years at the Consolidated High School District 230 in Orland Park, and then went into Administration and was the Assistant Principle for 21 years with the same District. He was a Golf and Wrestling coach during his 34 years of service to the district.
On August 20, 1960, John married Mary Freeman who survives, also surviving are 4 children; John & Kimberly of Tinley Park IL, Lori & Todd Kendall of Valdosta, GA, Jeffrey & Barb of St. Charles, IL and Mark & Tara of Palos Heights, IL 9 grandchildren; John Allen, Brad, Alec, Sarah, Jack, Ben, Brooke, Isabelle and Grace, 2 sisters, Nancy VanTreeck of Northbrook, IL and Eileen Johnson of TX, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clyde and his sister, Henni Simolin.
