Married Nancy Bass Stone
He practiced medicine in Yazoo City, Yazoo Co., MS along with his older brother
Dr.Richard Stephens Dorsey. Both brothers died there in 1845. [Perhaps from the
same cause?] His body was returned to Nelson Co., KY for burial and his widow
and two daughters presumably went back there at the same time.
Markers still survived in the burial ground where he's located for Dr.Dorsey; his
wife and mother; a daughter; and a niece or grandniece; as well as a few other
persons, in 1933. It's uncertain who else might be buried there, but the land had
been in Dr.Dorsey's family since at least 1796.
