JOHN KOMOROSKI (d. 1945)

John W. Komoroski, 53, who resided in this city for a year before locating on a farm in the town of Two Rivers, died at the Municipal hospital at 9 o’clock Tuesday evening following an operation last Saturday. In ill health
for the past ten years, Mr. Komoroski had been removed to the hospital from his home on route 1, Two Rivers, a week ago.

Services will be held from the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Two Rivers at 9 o’clock Friday morning with the Rev. Joseph Gabryszek officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.

The body may be viewed at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home from tonight at 7 o’clock until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 o’clock Thursday evening.

Mr. Komoroski was born on his parents’ farm in the town of Two Creeks, May 12, 1892, the son of Martin and Victoria Paprocki Komoroski. As a young man he worked on farms in the vicinity of his home, spending several years prior to his marriage as an employe on the Gust Eggert farm in the town of Two Rivers. He married Helen Korleski of Manitowoc at the St. Mary’ Catholic church here on Sept. 13, 1915. The couple lived in Manitowoc for one year and then returned to live on the Eggert place where Mr. Komoroski assumed the operation of the farm. Two years later they moved to a farm of their own in the town of Two Rivers, where they have remained ever since.

Surviving, in addition to the wife, are three sons, Pfc. Edwin, attached to the army medical corps and now stationed at Camp McCoy; Cpl. Valentine, currently with the army occupation forces 40 miles from Tokyo, and Glenn, 7, at home. There are four daughters, Mrs. Glenn Stueck, Manitowoc; Mr. Arthur Riha, Tisch Mills and Elaine and Rita at home. Mr. Komoroski had one grandchild.

Also surviving are five brothers, Leo Komoroski, route 1, Two Rivers; Frank, Peter and Anton, all of route 1, Mishicot, and Joseph of Milwaukee. There are five sisters, Mrs. Stanley Dendor, Mrs. Andres Hensel, Mrs. George Gallnier and Mrs. Gerald Karman, all of Milwaukee, and Mrs. Joseph Benzinger of Two Rivers.
