Michael David Healey immigrated in the year 1850 from County Cork, Ireland were he arrived in Boston, Massachusetts. He enlisted as a private in the Company D, 74th New York Volunteer Infantry Regiment (5th Excelsior Brigade), that was being recruited out of Cambridgeport, Massachusetts. He mustered out and received a discharge at Petersburg, Virginia on June 19, 1864 for expiration of term of service. After the American Civil War he lived on Sexton Farm Road in Walpole, Norfolk County, Massachusetts were he was a farmer and teamster. The Brookdale Cemetery has the name listed as Michael D. Healey, Grave location Elder Path, Lot 1449N.
