Henry "Harry" A. Albaugh was born in Blair Co., Pa. Harry enlisted in the Civil War on Sept. 1861 and served in the following divisions: Co. D, 34th PA Infantry; Co. A, 3rd Regiment PA Infantry (3 mos); Co. A, Indept. Battalion PA Militia and lastly was made Commissary Sergeant in Co. M, 22nd Regiment of the PA Volunteer Cavalry (Civil War Pension file).

On March 2, 1864 he married Joanna "Laura" Baker (1844-1906) in Fort Wayne, Ind. She was the d/o Abraham Price Baker and Anna Eliza Kidd of Hollidaysburg, Pa. On the following Sept. 5th, Harry received a wound in his leg while in action in the Shenandoah Valley in Va. He died shortly thereafter at the US Generals Hospital, York, Pa. He is buried in the Baker plot.

On Nov. 22, 1865 Laura Baker Albaugh married Jacob Charles Kauffman (1839-1904), also a soldier during the Civil War. They resided in Harrisburg, PA.
