VETERANS FUNERALS: SGT. JOHN W. KURZAWSKI

Requiem high mass for Sergeant John W. Kurzawski, formerly of 2928 Harcums Way, South Side, who was killed in action, May 19, 1944, over Berlin, while on his seventh mission, will be sung at 9 a.m. Thursday, in the Holy Family Church, Lawrenceville. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Before entering the service Jan. 23, 1943, Sgt. Kurzawski was employed as a truck driver for the Pennsylvania Paper Stock Company. Sgt. Kurzawski was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medal.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Stella Suwala Kurzawski, of 176 46th St., a brother, Stanley Kurzawski and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Polome and Mrs. Rose Morgan.

Friends will be received at the Borek Funeral Home, 249 Main St., Lawrenceville.

Military services will be in charge of Arsenal Post No. 897, V.F.W.
