"DOROTHA O. LOFT
DAYTON, IND. -- Dorotha O. Hoshaw Loft, 87, Dayton, Ind., died Monday, March 14, 1983 at Home Hospital in Lafayette following a lengthy illness.
She was born and lived most o f her live [sic - life] in Carroll County. She married James F. Loft in 1914. The couple farmed land in Carroll County. He preceeded [sic - preceded] her in death in 1969.
Mrs. Carroll [sic - Loft] also was a member of the Dayton United Methodist Church.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Carlson and Mrs. Betty Clift, Lafayette, Mrs. Dorothy M. Brown and Mrs. Miriam Dye, Brookston, Mrs. Mary Watts, Crawfordsville, Mrs. Joy Stuckel, Louisville, Ky., and Mrs. Janet Anderson, Williamsport; six sons, Ralph Loft, Roachdale, Paul J., D. Robert, and James F. Loft, Lafayette, Gerald F. Loft, Tipton, and R. Delbert Loft, Emmett, Idaho; a brother, Leland Hoshaw, Garrett; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Haughn, Muncie; 43 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were conducted Thursday at the Dayton United Methodist church. Revs. James R. Copeland and Charles Anderson officiated. Interment will be in the Fair Haven Cemetery, Mulberry. The family requested that sympathy be shown by memorial contributions to the Memorial Fund, Dayton United Methodist Church."
