Alex J Anthony was born July 9, 1905 in Williamson County, Tennessee, the son of Thomas J "Tom" Anthony (1873–1937) and Mintha (Bennett) Anthony (1874–1939).
A chauffeur and houseman, he was 37 years old and divorced when he died of actinomycosis on January 28, 1943 in Nashville. Burial was two days later in Rose Hill Cemetery, Williamson County.
