Paula Anne Rider-Kreycik, 66, passed away peacefully at her home near Douglas Friday, July 4th, 2014.

Paula was born May 21st, 1948 to George Eastman and Ruby Esther (Edson) Carmin in Douglas, Wyoming and was raised on the family ranch near Orin along with her sisters Georgia, Jacque, and Donna. She attended Glendo grade school and graduated valedictorian from Douglas High School in 1966. Paula was student body president and was active in cheerleading, Jobs Daughters, and rodeo. She was Miss High School Rodeo Wyoming and all-around cowgirl in 1965. She attended the University of Wyoming majoring in Accounting and was president of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Paula married John Markle Rider on June 21st, 1969 in Douglas. They owned and operated the Douglas Budget newspaper until 1986. To that union three children were born, twins Jennifer and Nichole and son Michael. She lived her entire life in Douglas, most of it on the Carmin ranch. Following the death of her husband John in 1999, she married long-time friend David James Kreycik on January 13th, 2000 in Torrington, Wyoming and together they owned and operated the Kreycik Accounting firm in Douglas. Her passion was her work and her clients meant the world to her. She elevated her work the last several years to a ministry of sorts as she touched the lives of so many people.

She was involved in her community, active in PEO and was a charter member PEO chapter BH. She was the treasurer of the Congregational United Church of Christ for many years. She loved camping and boating at Glendo Reservoir with family and friends while raising her family. After marrying Dave, they spent many memorable after-tax-season vacations in peaceful and majestic Sedona, Arizona, hiking, sight-seeing, dining, and relaxing. She was an avid reader, finishing hundreds of metaphysical, fiction, and non-fiction books in just the last few years. She enjoyed getting together with and visiting her extended family and her sisters, and looked forward to the annual Carmin Girl Gala each year, a three-generation gathering of daughters, sisters, and nieces.

She is survived by husband, Dave Kreycik of Douglas, children Jennifer (TC) Page of McFadden, Wyoming, Nichole Rider of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Michael Rider of Platteville, Colorado; step children, Beth (Jon) Forster and Rob (Ermelyn) Kreycik both of Lincoln, Nebraska, Sarah (Jared) Merkley of Phoenix, Arizona , and Paul (Meagan) Kreycik of Rennes, Frances; grandchildren, Jackson Page, Jacob Forster, Gavin and Tristen Kreycik, Delilah and Jaylee Merkley, and Lily Kreycik; and sisters, Georgia Carmin and husband Ken Hull of Laramie, Wyoming, Jacque (Craig) Goodrich, and Donna (Ed) Ricks both of Douglas.

She was predeceased by husband, John Rider on April 18th, 1999 and parents, George on August 7th, 2003 and Ruby on February 25th, 2007.
