Henry Buhler Sears, 86, Maryville, Missouri, passed away Monday, July 7, 2014, at Nodaway Nursing Home, Maryville, after a brief illness from pancreatic cancer.

Buhler was born April 19, 1928, in Maryville, Missouri to Dr. Kirtley and Vivian "Buhler" Sears.

He married Barbara O'Riley, April 21, 1954, in Maryville, who preceded him in death January 21, 2010.

Buhler began working with Sears Brother's Farms until he acquired the job of Postmaster of the Bolckow MO, Post Office in 1962. He served in that capacity 28 years before retiring. After retirement Buhler and Barbara moved to Lake Thunderhead in Unionville, MO, moving back to Maryville in 1996 to be closer to their family.

Buhler was a member of the St. Gregory's Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville, Host Lions Club 52 years, James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100 for 60 years, Retired Postmasters, and a Veteran of the Korean War serving as an Army Infantryman from 1950-1952.

Survivors include his children, son David and wifeTerina Sears, Maryville, MO, daughter Debra and husband Steve Cole, Rosendale, MO, six grandchildren, Connie Brosi, Cindy Ramsey, Christina Dennis, Allison Otte, John Cole, and Derrick Sears, 15 great grandchildren, brother Bill Sears, Arkoe, MO, and sister Shirley Zech, Maryville, MO.

A Prayer Service will be held 6:00 PM ,Tuesday, July 8, 2014, St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Maryville, with a visitation following until 8:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday July 9, 2014, at St. Gregory's Catholic Church with burial following in St. Mary's Cemetery, Maryville.

A Military Service will be conducted by James Edward Gray American Legion Post #100, Maryville, and Missouri Military Honors.
