JOHN E. MUELLER
John E. Mueller, 81, of 1712-12th St., Two Rivers, retired employe of Boehringer Oil and Fuel Co., Two Rivers, died Saturday afternoon at Manitowoc County Hospital where he was a patient two days.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Klein and tangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, and at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, the Rev. George Beth officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Mueller was born at Two Rivers Jan. 29, 1880, son of the late Joseph and Rose Steinhauer Mueller. Attending Two Rivers elementary school, his first employment was at the old E.J. Vaudreuil Canning Co., Two Rivers, where he became a foreman. Later, for more than 30 years, he was employed as yard man at Boehringer Oil and Fuel Co., retiring in 952. He married the former Rose Kasten at Two Rivers, who died July 27, of this year.
For many years Mr. Mueller was active in affairs of St. Mark Parish and served as marshal of the St. Joseph Society of the parish for more than 30 years. A long-time member of St. Joseph Society of Two Rivers he was on its finance committee for many years.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harris Gibeault, of Two Rivers and Mrs. Charles Gill, of Chicago; three sisters, Mrs. Rudolph Schacherl and Mrs. Joseph Gordon, of Milwaukee and Mrs. Julia La Perrier, of Cudahy, Wis.; a brother, Frank Miller, of Two Rivers and a grandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home where the Rosary will be recited at 8 o’clock this Monday evening.
