SALEM - Bud Scott passed on Thursday, February 6, 2014 at home with family. He was born on August 8, 1936 in Craigmont, ID at his grandparents' home. He graduated in 1955 from Toledo High School and was a member of the US Army. Bud's careers included being a baker, a photofinishing equipment engineer, an inventor and owner of BUDCO before retiring to travel. Bud enjoyed his family, friends, riding his motorcycle, writing, and he had recently discovered a love of cooking. Bud was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, Carole Scott and Billy Scott, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include Jim and Amber Scott, Mike and Susan Scott, Pat and Stephanie Scott, John and Martina McGhee, Tracy McGhee, and Jake McGhee and Jennifer Moore. Bud will forever be missed by his grandchildren: Lisa Scott-Bock, Seth Scott, Jaryd Marderness, Brittany Scott, Kayla Voigt, Connor Scott, Kevin Deerwester, and Jasmine and Jocelyn McGhee, as well as his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A viewing will be available at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service in Salem, OR on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spinning Room at the Willamette Heritage Center, 1313 Mill Street SE, Salem, OR on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m., with a reception being held directly afterward.
