Graveside services for Cecil Edward Eash, 76, Pawhuska, will be at 2 PM Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Brown Funeral Home. Officiating will be Dr. Lloyd H. Lambert, senior minister at Central Christian Church, Enid.
Eash died Friday afternoon in a Pawhuska hospital following a long illness.
Born in Oklahoma City, he moved at an early age to Wichita Falls, Texas, and then to Enid in 1917. He attended Enid Schools and graduated from Enid High School.
Eash played baseball for the Eason Oilers and later played professional ball in Borger, Texas. He was a Carpenter in the Enid area for many years before moving in 1969 to Pawhuska, where he retired in 1973.
He married Evelyn Neill in Tucumari, New Mexico, on May 8, 1954. She preceded him in death June 4, 1981. Eash married the former Lucille Thompson in Dewey on July 20, 1982. The couple lived in Bowring.
In addition to his wife, now of Enid, Eash is survived by a brother, William M. Eash of Ephrata, Washington; two sisters – in – law, Ellen Neill of Pawhuska and Billie Gliddin of Enid; a brother – in – law, Walter Neill of Pawhuska; a niece, Barbara Smith of Copan; and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research, Heart Division.
