Lillie Belle Helton, age 95, of Morristown, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at her residence. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Republican Women, having been named "Mrs. Republican" of the State, a member of the United Methodist Women, and was a member of the Garden Thyme Herb Society. She had a passion for sewing for many years and was active in the PTA. Mrs. Helton loved her church and everyone she came in contact with. She wore a coat of many colors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Helton; sons, James Orville Helton and John Clark Helton; parents, Jim and Kitty Wolfe; and sister, Blanche Rogers. She is survived by her daughters, Alice Swann, Judy (Bill) Blackburn, and Mable Wilder; grandchildren, Cari Ashford, Billy Swann, Joey Swann, Douglas Blackburn, Will Blackburn, Lea J. Eckhardt, Jeff Helton, Susan Houston, and John Helton, Jr.; twenty-two great-grandchildren; special great-granddaughter, Charlotte Lillie Blackburn; one great-great grandchild; sisters, Stella (Clay) Livesay and Martha (T.M.) Anderson; and many special nieces, nephews, and close friends to numerous to mention. Funeral services will be at 8 p.m. Friday, May 30 at Westside Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Lehrer and Rev. Bryan Wyke officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 31 at Hamblen Memory Gardens for graveside services. The family will receive friends from 6 ��" 8 p.m. Friday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Westside Chapel Funeral Home in Morristown.
