DROWNED IN NEIGHBORS POOL ONE SATURDAY MORNING, DURING A YARD SALE...SHE WAS BURIED IN A BEAUTIFUL LITTLE YELLOW PAGEANT DRESS, AND HER GRAVE MARKER HAS A BABY WITH A TROPHY AND WEARING A CROWN ON HER HEAD. SHE HAD WON SEVERAL "BABY PAGEANTS" IN HER SHORT TIME HERE ON EARTH. SHE WAS ALWAYS SMILING!!SUCH A LITTLE TREASURE!!
One year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Andrew Brantley Sr. Rt.3 of Grand Bay,Al died Thursday Oct. 21st 1982 at a Mobile hospital. She was born Sept.24 1981 and was a native of Pascagoula.
Other than her parents, surviviors are one brother, Jerry A. Brantley Jr..
Paternal grandmother Mrs.A.V. Alderman, and maternal grandmother Mrs. Ruby Moss of Goodman. Two maternal great grandmothers Mrs. Inez Moss and Eva Summerlin.
Visitation was held Oct.22 from 6-9pm at O'Bryant-O'keefe funeral home in Pascagoula.
On Saturday Oct . 23rd Ashlie was taken to the Friendship Baptist Church in Grand Bay at 1:15 to lie in state until her funeral at 2pm.
The Rev. Robbie Howell officiated. She is buried in the Grand Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Broadus and Randy Herring.
