Funeral Service for Darlene Baker, age 56, of Alexander City will be held Friday, July 11, 2014 at3:00 PM in the Chapel of Bass Funeral Home Rev. Jimmy Sims will officiate. Burial will follow at Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will received friends on Thurs, July 10, 2014 from 6 until 8 at Bass Funeral Home.

Ms. Baker passed away on July 9, 2014 at her residence. She was born on January 31, 1958 in Tallapoosa County, AL to Roland Bell Baker and April Joy Baker.

She is survived by three daughters, Angela Lynn Shively of Dadeville, Tonya Renee Welcher (C.J. Mims) of Alexander City, and Katherine Darlene (Brandon) Peters of Seattle, WA; the father of her three children, Jimmy Welcher; three sisters, Roda (Hayward) Bolan of Dadeville, Joy (Richard) Stewart of Dadeville, and Patricia (Jerome) Guffey of Jacksons Gap; and six grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Roland Baker and April Baker.
