Ronnie Lee Short, age 54, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at University of Kentucky Medical Center following
a long illness.

Services 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Proctor officiating, with burial in Bethel Cemetery.

Ronnie was born March 4, 1960, in Oxford, Ohio. He served in the US Army and was a former employee of Frankfort Regional Medical Center, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He enjoyed mowing grass, taking his dogs for rides in his truck and building and collecting model cars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Neal Burnam and Vola Richardson Short; a brother, Neal B. Short, Jr.; and
a niece, Jennifer Brewer-Webb.

Ronnie is survived by his sisters, Janice (Danny) Brewer, Joyce (Paul) Cooke, Eva Haynes, Charlotte (Franklin) Brophy, Connie (Helge) Andersen, Tammie (Mark) Stamper;

brother, Chris (Donna) Short; special nieces, Amber Mahoney, Amy Young; special great nephew, Brandon Mahoney; several nieces and nephews; and his four-legged companion, Dot.

Pallbearers were Ryan Eastman, Jamey Eastman, Darrell Brophy, Jerry McGuire, Matt Mitchell and Davey Kirk. Serving as honorary bearers will be Eddie Green III and nieces.

Arrangements under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
