Services for L. Paul Harral, 92, of Abernathy will be at 4 p.m. today at Abernathy First Baptist Church with Ken Horn officiating and Jeff Petillo assisting.

Burial will be in Abernathy Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

He died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2001.

He was born Aug. 19, 1909, near County Line, where he grew up and attended school. He also attended school at Wayland Baptist College in Plainview and was an alumnus of Texas Tech. He farmed and ranched throughout Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado. He had lived in Abernathy since 1945.

His first wife, Olivette Stuart Harral, died in 1986, and a daughter, Sarah Nancy Harral Herring, died in 1999. A grandchild also died in 1991.

Survivors include his second wife, Dorothy Chapman Davenport Harral of Abernathy; a daughter, Barbara Maud Harral Goldston of Albuquerque, N.M.; a stepdaughter, Vicki Davenport Havens of Lubbock; three grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and 13 step-great-grandchildren.
