Born Jeanette Edith Vandenburg in Missoula MT, she was the fourth child (of five) of the union of Richard Leonard Vandenburg (1892-1955) and Miriam Watters Vandenburg (1896-1973). The Vendenburg family moved from Montana to Genesee ID in 1932. On August 26, 1950 in Lewiston ID she married Wayne David Schwenne, son of Otto Henry Schwenne (1895-1947) and Minnie Reif Schwenne (1906-1983). In 1952 they started a ranch and farm together in Genesee. Two sons were born of this marriage (both living 2017). Jeanette was a wonderful mother and wife. She loved animals, riding horses, gardening, and tending to the ranch. She was also an avid family researcher responsible for much of the historic Schwenne information from Laer, Germany. Her many friends will also recall her kitchen skills; preparing pies, fruitcakes, and jellies. After a brief illness, Jeanette left us at age 81. Her husband, two sons and families survive. Three sisters preceded her in death: Lutie Louise, Margaret Miriam, and Dorris Jean Vandenburg. Her brother also survives.
