Bobby D. Lett, 71 of Noel, Missouri, a long time area contractor and farmer departed this life suddenly on July 10, 2014 after a short illness.

Bobby entered this life on March 7, 1943 in Saratoga Springs, Missouri to the late Robert Preston Lett and Mona Mae (Duncan) Campbell. He attended school in Southwest City, Noel and Oakdale, California where he met his sparring partner of 52 years, Barbara Sue Miller and on September 15, 1962 they were united in marriage in Riverbank, California and to this union three children were born.

While in California Bobby worked many different construction jobs such as paving, putting sewer lines in for subdivisions, building bridges and running drill machines for dynamiting. In 1974, Bobby moved his family back to Noel. He and his uncle Harry Lett built houses. Bobby continued building for many years with his last project of jacking up a house for his grandson just this spring. He loved hunting and fishing and looked forward to his annual Elk hunt in Colorado. Bobby loved his family and was a devoted husband, dad and grandpa. He will be sincerely missed.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara Lett; a son, Rick Lett and wife, Terry; a daughter, Kim Vangunda and husband, Robert; a son Roddy Lett and wife, Renne all of Noel, Missouri; five grandsons, Derek Taggert, Mitchell Lett, Tyrel Lett, Rylan Lett and Rusten Lett; two granddaughters, Sarah McIntire and Chasity Dockins; three great grandchildren, Alexes, Robert and Easten.

Memorial service will be at the Noel Church of Christ on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with George Randall and Dick Lett officiating. Final resting place will be at Saratoga Springs Cemetery in Southwest City, Missouri.
