Arthur was medically discharged from the U.S. Army in 1944.
He served 2 years in the South Pacific.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

son of John Albert Scott and Louise C. Lewis.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Sibling:
Helen Louise Scott (1908-2001) m. William Henry Ward (1905-1962)

half-siblings:
Edward O. Scott (1869-1943) m. Nettie Patterson (1875-1963)
Emma K. Scott (1872-1945) m. Olin B. Hoxie (1859-1934)
Grace Bell Scott (1875-1947) m. James Wallace Fitch (1873-1920)
Flora Bell Scott (1877-1944) m. George John Gannett (1876-1940)

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Arthur's death was caused by head and physical injuries he obtained from 2 automobiles hitting him as a pedestrian walking along NY State Routes 5 and 20 in Seneca Falls, NY the early evening of January 10, 1950. His sister, Mrs. Helen Ward and his mother, Louise Scott had gone to trial suing for wrongful death and negligence of the 2 drivers seeking $65,000. The result was a reward of $7,000.

- if such case would of had been won by today's standards in 2014, probably would have received $300,000 to $500,000 maybe more. -

Arthur lived in Union Springs, he was never married and had no children.
His father, John A. Scott, was a Civil War veteran who served from 1862 to 1865. John's 1st wife, Kate (Catherine Bell), died circa 1898 - 1902 and he later married Miss Louise Lewis having moved from Weedsport to the Wolcott, Wayne, NY surrounding area or possibly Butler, NY. John is buried at Weedsport Rural cemetery along with his parents, brothers, sisters and his 1st wife.
