Dickey (Dick) Lewis Bishop, 69, born May 15, 1945, in Altus, OK to Glispy and Margaret Bishop, and went to be with the Lord and his wife Dixie on July 11, 2014, after a long battle with cancer.

Dick grew up hunting and fishing in SE Oklahoma and enjoyed fishing and spoiling his grandkids. He was a barber and road equipment mechanic, working with his father out of high school. He eventually became a welder with Oklahoma Natural Gas Company. With ONG he was also a pipeline X-Ray technician and Field Manager until he retired after 35 years.

Dick was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Edmond, and spent his last days enjoying the fellowship at Olive First Baptist.

Dick is preceded in death by his wife Dixie and his parents.

Dick is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, one daughter and son-in-law, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Honorary Pallbearers are Levi Bishop, Grant Wresche, Lane Bishop, Lake Bishop, Philip Korvick, Cody Milliser, Virgil Chappell, Perry Beard, Melvin Gleason, and John McNerney.

Graveside services were held at 10:30 am, July 15th at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Officiating was Brother Jay Tyler McDowell.
