Miles "Dickey" Edwards age 64 of New Market, Alabama, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife, Margaret Edwards, his children, Ricky Putman, Tabatha Loveday, and Melissa McCord; His brothers, Dwight Edwards, Greg Edwards, and Audrey Dean Edwards.He also leaves behind five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonzo and Bessie Edwards.

(His nephew, Rodney Edwards, spoke to me today about his uncle. He told me he was a very fine man and was his father's closest brother. Rodney told me that once his father and uncle went to Nashville to the Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealership. Rodney's father already had a Harley and his uncle bought one in Nashville that day. Rodney said that after they left the dealership, there was a question about the financing so they called his home telephone number. Dickie's wife answered the phone and understood it was an AUTOMOBILE dealership calling... She got excited and thought her husband had bought a new car for her and called all of her friends and family and told them that Dickie had bought her a new car. You can imagine her surprise when her husband rode up on a brand new Harley for himself! Rodney said his father went ahead and left to go home pretty quick after that. What a great story!)
