Funeral services for Ila Maie Brooks Johnson, 89, of Williston, SC, will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014, in Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston.

The family will receive friends from four until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be four p.m. Saturday July 19, 2014 at Mountlawn Memorial Park, North Wilkesboro, NC.

The family will receive friends from two-thirty until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorials may be sent to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Attn: Memorial Donations, 107 West Park Boulevard, Suite 150, Columbia, SC 29210. Ila passed away Sunday, July 13, 2104.

She was born in Wilkes County North Carolina she was a daughter of the late "N.P." Brooks and Docia Rio Sabastian Brooks.

Ila, married to the late Marvin Martin Johnson, was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughters, Daphnee (James) Lockwood of Elko, Era Lockwood of Williston; sons, John (Deborah) Johnson of Isle of Palms, Darrell Johnson and Eddy Johnson both of Williston; sisters, Flossie Waddell of North Wilkesboro, NC, Rosie Dell (James) Wipff of Deer Park, Texas; brothers, John E. (Rosa Lee) Brooks and Ira (Dottie) Brooks all of North Wilkesboro, NC; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sisters, Ann Wingler, Mary Gorman and a brother, Edwin Brooks.
