Jozef Wincenty Sobalawski (Joseph Vincent Sobleski)

Per Greenwood Cemetery Genealogical Records, Petoskey News Review Records and Family Search LDS Records:

One shows a John b. 2 May 1863 Posen, Poland, Other says Joseph Vincent D.O.B would be abt. 1855.

If this is the V.J. Sobleske that married Frances Kellar, 21 May 1888, in Cross Village (where this Joseph Vincent resided early), then his D.O.B. was 1865 as in the US 1920 census. LDS research.

Emmet County marriage record: Francis married Sobalawski, Wicintus on 5 May 1888. Another record shows Wicintus's name as Joseph and his father Joseph. Sobalawski is more than likely the actual Polish surname which was changed once they immigrated to America.

John Sobleski 1855-1931, had a brother Joseph who lived in Cross Village.

JV lived with his nephew John Sobleski (John Thomas 1885-1968) for the past 13 yrs before his death which says he was a widow.

Emmet County, LDS Records:

A Joseph Sobleskey b. 1860 married Sophia Gibes (Mika) Wrona 28 Sep 1925. Lists the fathers surname as Blozen and mother's name Susie. If Frances is the wife of this Joseph Vincent, she passed away July 1925. Record says they were each married once before.

Lists Joseph's father as Joseph. I have an Andrew Wrona in my family who lived in Lark's Lake, Cross Village areas. Who married my 1st cousin Sophia Wiklanski. Andrew is the son of Sophia Gibes-Wrona-Sobleskey.
