Cleo E. Modert, 90 of Beecher, formerly of Kankakee died January 8, 2011 at
Beecher Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born March 22, 1920 in
Mt. Vernon, IL. Cleo married Neal H. Modert on January 3, 1939 in Mt. Vernon. He
died July of 2000. Mrs. Modert attended River Valley Christian Fellowship
Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren
and great-grandchildren. Surviving are three sons and three daughters-in-law,
Ray & Jean Modert of Spring Branch, TX, John & Joyce Modert of Nashville, TN,
and Jim & Sandy Modert of Park Forest, IL; eight grandchildren; and nine
great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ruby Estella and
Wiley Bond. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. on Friday,
January 14, 2011 at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais where her funeral
service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011. Rev. Derick
Miller will officiate the service. Interment will be held at Memorial Gardens
Cemetery in Aroma Twp.
