She was the daughter of William Mark Root and Lucinda Bronson Root. She married Frank C. McConnelly on December 25, 1855 and resided in vermilion Ohio. They had one child that is known and his name was George B. McConnelly. After her parents died Delia and her sister Mary Jane lived with their Uncle Orestus and Aunt Julia Ann Dutton Root until they were married. They were the two older children of William and Lucinda. The other two died as young children Edwin and George, and one baby sister Lucinda died 20 days after their mother. William, Lucinda, Edwin, George and infant Lucinda Root are buried at the Charleston Cemetery in Lorain, Ohio that I am the caretaker of.
