Abner W. Anderson, age 92, formerly of 1433 N. 6th St., Manitowoc, died Monday evening, May 4, 1998, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 1998, at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Rev. Richard Lind will officiate with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth.
He was born October 14, 1905, at Manitowoc, son of the late Andrew and Amelia Reinhardt Anderson. He grew up and was educated in Manitowoc and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1924. Abner worked for the Ann Arbor Railroad as an agent for many years, retiring in 1970. He married Irene Christensen on June 24, 1937, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1966. He then married Edith Ceaglske in 1968 in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in 1972. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, a former charter member of the Golden K. Kiwanis Club of Manitowoc, and a former member of the Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, William and Beverly Anderson, Manitowoc; one grandson, Scott Anderson, Manitowoc; one step-daughter and her husband, Karen and Dan Neveau, Green Bay; five step-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; one sister, Iva Klingholz, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his wives, Irene and Edith; three brothers; one sister; one step-son, David Ceaglske.
Relatives and friends may call at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 11:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at 1:30 p.m.
Memorials would be appreciated for First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
