Leon J. Armbruster, age 70, of 2000 Clark St., Manitowoc, died Monday morning, Jan. 23, 2006, at his residence. He was born Jan. 9, 1936, in Manitowoc, son of the late Jacob and Matilda Ziarnik Armbruster. On Jan. 6, 1968, he married the former Gail Schuh at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. She preceded him in death in February 1998. Leon was employed with the Mirro Aluminum Company for 30 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 706. Survivors include his cousins: Douglas Ziarnik, Mary Jo Ziarnik, Michele Ziarnik, Charlotte (Don) Endries, all of Manitowoc; Judy (Tom) O'Leary, Alamo, Texas; his earth angels: Suzanne Koch, Sue Schumann and Joanne Kleckner. Leon is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Tom Wojciechowski O.F.M. with burial at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, town of Kossuth. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
