Daisy Lane (Watson) Love was born on November 23, 1895, in Elwood, Kansas. As a young adult, Daisy was a singer and she performed in the Blue Goose Cafe at the northwest corner of Ninth and Wyandotte in Kansas City, Missouri. Daisy married Benjamin Leroy "Roy" Love (1890-1994) on August 10, 1932. This couple spent the next 45 years together until December 7, 1977, when Daisy passed away after a long illness. Her funeral was performed at the Davis Funeral Chapel in Leavenworth, Kansas. Her husband planted a cedar tree in his front yard in her honor.
