Frank E. Fair, 110 Fredonia Road, Hempfield Township, formerly of Salem Township, died at 2:55 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville, following a period of failing health. He was 89.

Mr. Fair was born March 20, 1923 in Mercer to Eldon and Velma Seidle Fair.

He attended schools in the Fredonia area.

He was employed by the former Fredonia Mill, from which he retired.

Surviving are: three half brothers, Henry Thomas Garrett, husband of Alice, Pulaski; James L. Garrett, husband of Alberta, Clark; and Wilbert R. Garrett, husband of Roxine, Pulaski; and five half sisters, Sylvia Martino, New Castle; Niomi McElrath, Grove City; Maude Releford, Dalton, Ga.; Twila Everson, New Castle; and Donna Kirkwood, wife Charles, Edinburg.

He was preceded in death by his parent; his stepfather; a brother, Arthur Fair; a sister, Myrtle Bartholomew; two half brothers, Meade and Grover Jr. Garrett; and three half sisters, Martha Aeschbacher, Shirley Baker and Bernice Garrett.

Graveside services were Wednesday (4-11-12) in White Chapel Cemetery, New Wilmington, with the Rev. Rick Nelson, pastor of White Chapel United Methodist Church, officiating.
