James Louis Jackson age 62, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2014. Services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, July 20th at Hardies Chapel Church of Christ, Gordon GA.
Mr. Jackson was born on August 7, 1951. He was a lifelong resident of Jones County. He was a service technician at Sears, retiring with 27 years of service. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Hubert Woodrow and Marie Etheridge and brothers H.W. Jackson and Harry Lane Jackson. He was a member of Hardies Chapel Church of Christ since the age of 14 and was a self-taught Musician. He was worshipped by his wife and children and loved by all.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Shirlene Jackson of Gray, two sons, James Jackson and his wife Angie, John Jackson of Palm Springs, CA, his daughter Julie Jackson Alford and her husband Kevin of Haddock, his sisters, Betty Jean Roberts and her husband Guy, and Charlotte Daughtery and her husband Wayne, 5 grandchildren, Olivia Jackson, Shelby Jackson, Haley Alford, Nicholas Alford and Katie Alford.
