George B. Young, 91, died at his home on the Newark Marion Road on October 30. Born in Wolf River, Iowa, he was a son of Conway and Mary Barnham (sic Barnum) Young. He lived and died in the home where he was married 62 years ago to Minna Beal who survives. He was president of the East Palmyra School Board for many years, and held membership in Marion Masonic Lodge 926. Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Mrs. Donald Greule of Newark; son George A. of East Palmyra; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vernon Young of Newark, eight grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren and a sister of East Palmyra, Miss Mary Young. Services were held from the Nye Funeral Home Wednesday, with burial in the East Palmyra Cemetery. (Democrat & Chronicle, Rochester, NY, October 31, 1960)
