Joe was a man who stood strong for what he believed and jumped in and participated. For Instance his Church and Knights of Columbus~~if something needed done - he would gladly serve and help others in need. It could be flipping pancakes, to being a Lead Usher in his Church. It didn't stop there though, Charlotte and Joe would visit other Churches in their travels and journey through life together with the family. Joe would jump in, step up to the plate and help. Things like this set a strong example for their children.

From listening to the stories from his friends and family- I seem to be able to relate and feel as if I know him well. It was like they were describing me in many instances! RE: "The Magnetism of the Gift To Gab", I truly believe this is a gift from God, that many can't understand. It comes very naturally and we are people who never meet a stranger! Boldly speaking out strong opinions, but are filled with the love of the Lord and good intentions. Sometimes a few things may not be perceived how we intended or misunderstood, but we have no fear to say the truth. It might be to share something, others are afraid to tackle or might be the elephant in the room. Bold and brassy and loudly speaking and sharing Jesus to anyone! Brassy on the outside but a big heart and softie on the inside. Many times it's a personality that some even become jealous of. It truly is a gift from God.

Joe was a Christian man of strong faith, values, morals and principals, that he and his wife Charlotte, instilled in their children. I personally can vouch for one of their children~~Dr. Joseph Kuhn. He shared the morals, values and examples of Christ, to anyone whose path he crossed, in Christ's love! They were awesome parents!

Joe went to Iowa State. One of his Major's was in the Dairy Industry. He then ventured out in the Dairy Industry as a career of 25 years. At one point in Joe's life, he was the National Sales Manager, for the Fairmont Dairy Company, in Lincoln Nebraska. He was transferred to Lawton, Oklahoma. Joe was a hard working man, devoted to providing for his loved ones, which I understand took them on many travels and exciting adventures.

Later on he purchased, owned and operated a Hotel in East Texas and was proficient in Marketing and Managing. Joe and Charlotte were a team in most things they did. Whether it be packing up the household and moving or running a business, etc.

In his down time Joe enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting birds like Pheasants, Doves etc. and game and playing cards. He loved the Aggies and was a huge fan.

Joe was in the Military, serving in the U.S. Army and fought in the Korean War. He was in the 1st Division, named "The Big Red One", and was proud to serve the USA.

Joe was a lifetime member of Knights of Columbus ( a service organization tied to the church, and was extremely active in it. He worked is way up to the 4th level of the, "Faithful Navigator of 4th Degree". On completion, he donned his accomplishment in a plumed hat and the silver sword for his accomplishment of completion of the fourth degree Knighthood, for many to see and bring smiles and laughter to their hearts and faces.

Joe embraced his precious gift of life, that God gave him and lived it to the fullest. He saw what he wanted and made it happen! Such as the time he stumbled upon David Carradine, they happened to be at the same hotel and Joe and David started chatting! Remember Joe never met a stranger. Next thing you know, Joseph Edward Kuhn was in the movies as an extra! Things progressed and Joe started meeting and hobnobbing with several Hollywood Stars, such as Willie Nelson on several occasions and more.

Joseph Edward Kuhn was a man with an attitude and ambiance of "NO FEAR"! He knew, lived and breathed Jesus and placed the "God Order" in his life, and taught it to his children.
GOD ORDER~GOD FIRST ABOVE EVERYTHING, then Man, Wife, and
Children. He lived for his family and told them many times, " I love you a million"!
