Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Anthony and Anastasia (Przybylowicz) Kaskiewicz, she had lived in Johnston for 46 years. She was the former president of International Mapping and Surveying of Smithfield.
Mrs. Zalabowski was the first woman District Governor of the Lions Club International District 42 and was involved in numerous charitable organizations. She was also a Eucharistic Minister and lector at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Johnston.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Ann-Marie Jacolucci and her husband Mark, sons Richard R. Zalabowski Jr. and his wife Patricia, Peter Zalabowski and his wife Lori, her brothers Joseph and Peter Kaskiewicz, and 10 grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Anthony Kaskiewicz.
Her funeral will be held Monday, November 5th at 10AM from the Hoey-Arpin-Williams-King Funeral Home, 168 Academy Ave., Providence with a Mass of Christian burial in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston at 11AM. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3-6PM. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in St. Ann''s Cemetery, Cranston.
